Globalism destroy local cultures. It is impossible to retain our own identity
Despite the fact that Globalism can be an interconnected platform among people, many of them think that it is an inappropiade word. To begin with, Globalism inflicts uniform cultures and values upon all infected by it. All the character and identity that is unique is lost so as to fit on the global stage. In this essay, I will examine some of the reasons why some people consider Globalism a wrong word and other people think the opposite.
First of all, I would like to mention the difference between Globalism and Globalization. The first one seeks to describe and explain nothing more than a world which is characterized by networks of connections. On the other hand, Globalization refers to the increase or decline in the degree of globalism.
Secondly, Globalism removes responsability to community and nation from individuals and corporations. They are acting on behalf of the world which equates to their own best interests and have no one to answer too.
In addition, Globalism creates gigantic bureaucracies. All organisations are prone to corruption and inevitably sucumb to it. Globalism harms the environment, shipping alone has produced more CO2 than all of the cars in the US combined or given day.
Globalism versus globalization? Many people would think the two terms refer to the same phenomenon. However, there are important differences between the two.
Globalism, at its core, seeks to describe and explain nothing more than a world which is characterized by networks of connections that span multi-continental distances.
It attempts to understand all the inter-connections of the modern world — and to highlight patterns that underlie (and explain) them.
In contrast, globalization refers to the increase or decline in the degree of globalism. It focuses on the forces, the dynamism or speed of these changes.
In short, consider globalism as the underlying basic network, while globalization refers to the dynamic shrinking of distance on a large scale.

On the contrary, supporters of Globalism argue that it has the potencial to make this world a better place to live in and solve some of the deep-seated problems like unemployment and poverty.
Besides, the opponents say Globalism represents free trade which promotes global economic growth; creates jobs, makes companies more competitive, and lower prices for consumer.
On balance, so does Globalism destroy a nation´s culture?. It seems to me that yes. Definitely, the answer is yes because the way human beings try to use this word it does. What stands out for me the most is that we live in a society in which we are bound by actions in the past owing to our own cultures. So, the question here is we are building a new society? a new world?. In general, we have domestic issues that only the nation can solve them by itself. In my personal opinion, every nation has its own culture and issues and it is not possible to construct an imitation of paradise from any ideology. Human history has showed us that it is not possible and one good example is the Socialist ideology. It has been an unsuccessful ideology. Of course, Globalism has a spectrum of set of opposing ideals that constitutes diverse stereotypes that compels us to think a better way how to live harmoniously or to find that path that is already created, but due to our values and prejudices we are blinded to find it.
